Welcome to the Next For Me Weekly Newsletter for January 30th, 2019. Next For Us
Our newsletter delivers the latest news that inspires our post-50 generation with new work and a new purpose. In our free weekly updates we discuss work, lifestyle, finance, education and our communities. Find us at NextForMe.com
If there’s anything we’ve learned about the evolution of what we do here at Next For Me, it’s that change is good. As we jump into the new year the challenges are big and exciting and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Thanks for being along for the ride.
This week we’re changing things up a little with some information on how you can get more involved with Next For Me and our growing community across the country.
If you like what you read in our weekly newsletter we’re asking that you share it with your networks. We’re making it easy with some sample text for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter as well as some images to share with your posts. Link
You’ve probably got a story of your own. Are you looking at the world through a new lens? Is the way you’ve worked and lived for the past 50+ years changing? These are our stories and we want to hear yours. Let us know what’s going on with you and what’s next. Link
Next month will be our first report on “The State of the 50+ Worker.” To complete the report we’re surveying our readers on what matters to you in the world of work and financial health. One participant will win a $100 Amazon Gift Card too. Link
If you’re in San Francisco, we’d like to invite you to our office for a lunch conversation. Chinese food is on us! Drop us an email.
We launched our own free Slack channel to help you find out about this workplace tool that everybody is “chatting” (literally) about. Some interesting people have logged on and are discussing some techniques they’re using to explore “What’s Next?”
For example Isidra M. wrote:
“I quit my plum corporate job three years ago to have more time to write (I just finished the first draft of my memoir.) At the same time I launched my own business as a writer and editor”
Finally, our events are friendly gatherings in cities and towns across the country. We have speakers on topics of interest related to next careers, financial security and our communities. And we always make time to talk about what’s on your mind with these topics.
We’re currently planning events in Los Angeles, New York, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Austin, and Phoenix. If you’d like to attend one of our upcoming events let us know. Link
Thanks for reading. If you enjoy our newsletter, please forward it to your friends.
