TRENDING: Housing Teachers + GRIT Newsletter + AARP Goes Young with “The Girlfriend”
Housing For Teachers Program Comes to California
Teachers face a difficult financial situation. More often than not, their salaries do not allow them to live even close to the neighborhood in which they work. Silvernest and Teach for America (TFA) have partnered to demonstrate the value of homesharing for teachers and communities.
If you are a homeowner in the Bay Area, consider homesharing with an educator. By opening your home to local teachers, you open the door to opportunity—not just for these teachers but for the whole classroom. Teachers will be searching for homes this summer, just look for their Teach For America logo on their Silvernest profile.
If you are interested in this pilot, sign up to list your space and mention wanting to host a teacher! www.silvernesthome.
