Age brings with it experience, confidence and wisdom. On TheLadders.com, Attorney Phyl Bean writes about the things she’s learned that set her apart from the younger generation, including:

  • Everyone else is as worried and insecure as you are. Some people just hide it better.
  • “Fitting in” is highly overrated. Just be you. Confidence is sexy. 
  • It’s just stuff. Stuff is never, ever as important as those you love.
  • Life goes by really, really fast. Live a life you can reflect on with gratitude, not regrets. 
  • Life is better after 50.
